With 2011's holiday to Spain being mainly a butterfly holiday, I really enjoyed my trip seeing a huge number of new species for me with a total of 42 species seen, at least!

Zac, could this be a well-marked female Spotted Fritillary of the western Med area race/f.occidentalis? You've got a nice series of photos there. Mike.
Hi Mike, I was beginning to lean towards Spotted Fritillary as I know there is a certain amount of variation in this species.
